Officials Release Water Into Kakatiya Canal From SRSP
Officials have started sending water from the Sriram Sagar Project into the Kakatiya canal.
At first, 2,000 cusecs of water were released.
Officials say they may increase the flow little by little.
They asked farmers to use the water carefully.
They said the project does not have enough water because of the El Niño effect.
Since June 1, 2026, more water flowed into the project than flowed out.
