Bhopal: School Merger Plan Revised for Girls' School
In Bhopal, India, the government changed its mind about merging several schools into the Kamla Nehru Sandipani Girls School.
They initially planned to merge 13 schools, but reduced it to 8 because the school would become too crowded.
Boys from the merging schools can go to other schools, including a co-ed one.
This change is part of a larger plan to combine schools into newer Sandipani Schools with better facilities.
Madhya Pradesh reduced school merger count from 13 to 8 for Kamla Nehru Sandipani Girls School in Bhopal.
The original plan would have increased the school's capacity beyond its limit.
Affected boys can enroll in other government schools or the co-ed Sandipani School at Barkhedi.
Eight schools with 313 students are now merging, including 166 boys.
This is part of a larger state initiative to merge schools into 27 Sandipani Schools, replacing schools with old buildings.
