Speciale Invest Raises INR 600 Cr Fund for Deeptech Ventures
A company that invests in very advanced technology startups, like space travel and AI, has raised a new fund with a lot of money.
They plan to give this money to about 20 new companies that are just starting.
They will be looking for companies in areas like space exploration, making things in new ways, and creating new technology for health and the environment.
They are also interested in helping Indian companies build things that can be sold all over the world.
Part of the money is saved for giving more money to companies they already invested in.
Speciale Invest, a deeptech-focused VC firm, closed its third fund at INR 600 Cr (about $70 Mn).
The fund will invest in 18-20 pre-seed and seed stage startups over four years.
Investments will focus on sectors including spacetech, AI infrastructure, and climate tech.
Half of the fund is reserved for follow-on investments in existing portfolio companies.
The fund's investment thesis prioritizes India's strategic autonomy and global market expansion.
