Student-Led Initiative Launches for Mental Wellness
Imagine school is hard, and sometimes you feel down.
SAHARA is a new program at KJSIM run by students to help everyone feel better.
They want to talk about feelings and make it safe to ask for help.
The program is based on helping students through Support, Awareness, Healing, Acceptance, Resilience, and Action.
There will be workshops, groups, and a way to schedule private talks through a phone app.
It's all to help students manage stress and feel good!
SAHARA, a student-led mental wellness initiative, has launched at K J Somaiya Institute of Management.
The initiative is built on six principles: Support, Awareness, Healing, Acceptance, Resilience, and Action.
SAHARA offers a safe and confidential space for students and faculty to seek help and share experiences.
The initiative plans to organize workshops, peer support groups, and stress management sessions.
SAHARA integrates access to mental wellness tools through a mobile platform and a dedicated wellness team.
