Indore’s Anant Chaturdashi Procession Adds Security for Nighttime Spectacle
Indore will hold its 103-year-old Anant Chaturdashi procession on Friday evening.
The procession will feature brightly lit and moving displays called tableaux.
More than 10 groups will create two or three tableaux each.
Some displays will use AI, 3D technology, hydraulics and special lighting.
Thousands of security and support workers will help manage the large crowds.
A women’s police team called Shakti Dal will help protect and assist women.
Drones, watchtowers, doctors and ambulances will support safety efforts.
Groups called akhadas must follow strict rules, and committees will judge their performances.
