Cleanup at Chandratal Lake: 159kg of Waste Collected
Imagine a beautiful lake high in the mountains called Chandratal.
Lots of people visit to see it.
But some leave behind trash, like bottles and plastic.
Pradeep Sangwan and his team, Healing Himalayas, decided to clean it up.
They collected a huge amount of trash, almost as much as a small person weighs!
They found all sorts of bottles, especially alcohol bottles.
They are trying to fix the problem and hoping tourists will take their trash home.
This is to keep the mountains beautiful.
Healing Himalayas conducted a cleanup drive at Chandratal Lake.
The cleanup collected 159.5 kg of waste.
Most of the waste was glass bottles, including alcohol bottles.
The collected waste will be processed at a facility for recycling.
The organization aims to address waste accumulation from tourists in the area.
