Sion Railway Over Bridge Set To Open September 30
Mumbai’s Sion Railway Over Bridge is being rebuilt after the old bridge was found unsafe.
It was closed to traffic on August 1, 2024.
The closure made many commuters use longer and more crowded routes.
Workers have finished pouring concrete for the bridge’s main deck.
They are now completing safety barriers and the road surface.
A new pedestrian bridge is already open.
Nearby subway and approach-road work is also progressing.
Officials expect the rebuilt bridge to be completed by September 30, 2026.
