IndiGo Raises Infant, Baggage and Priority Service Charges
IndiGo has made several extra travel services more expensive.
Families travelling with a baby must now pay ₹3,000 for the infant’s ticket.
Babies travel on an accompanying adult’s lap and do not receive a separate seat.
Passengers with extra luggage must pay ₹800 for every additional kilogram at the airport.
Priority check-in and boarding through Fast Forward now costs ₹650 per domestic sector.
Children travelling without an adult and passengers requesting travel certificates will also pay more.
These services are added to the basic airfare when passengers use them.
IndiGo says some add-ons, such as excess baggage, can be booked separately or avoided.
IndiGo raised its domestic infant fee to ₹3,000 per infant per sector from ₹2,000.
Airport excess-baggage charges increased to ₹800 per kilogram from ₹700.
Fast Forward priority check-in and boarding now costs ₹650 per domestic passenger per sector.
Unaccompanied-minor fees rose to ₹5,999 domestically and ₹12,999 internationally.
Travel certificates now cost ₹300 instead of ₹200, while reports differ on Fast Forward’s earlier price: ₹450 or ₹500.
