Kunickaa Sadanand Flags Unpaid Overtime for Entertainment Artists
Kunickaa Sadanand says actors and other artists often work very long days.
She said shoots can last 10 to 12 hours.
When the work goes beyond the planned time, artists may not receive extra money.
She compared this with technicians, who she said are paid for extra shifts.
Sadanand believes artists should also be compensated for additional hours.
She made these comments during recent CINTAA elections.
She also questioned why Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapure continued holding association positions after new elections.
Sadanand said association roles should be used to help artists, not to hold on to power.
