Karnataka Congress Leaders Say CEO Visit Was to Submit Memorandum

Karnataka Congress Leaders Say CEO Visit Was to Submit Memorandum

Congress leaders went to the election officer’s office to give him a written complaint.

Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara said they were not there to protest.

The complaint is about Form-7, a form people can use to object to names on voter lists.

Congress says some forms may have been used to try to remove voters’ names unfairly.

Parameshwara said some applications were collected and handed in together, and that police cases had been filed in several places.

The BJP criticized the visit and said a case should be registered over an alleged demonstration.

Parameshwara said Congress would share evidence with investigators.

He said an investigation should determine whether any wrongdoing happened.
