MMRDA Approves Footbridge Linking Metro Line 4 to Godrej Campus
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has approved a plan to build a footbridge that will directly connect a Metro Line 4 station to the Godrej commercial campus in Vikhroli.
This footbridge will allow people to walk directly from the Metro station to the campus without having to cross a busy road.
The project is expected to make commuting safer and faster.
Godrej & Boyce will pay a fee and cover the cost of building the footbridge.
This is part of a bigger plan to connect Metro stations to major buildings and reduce traffic around these areas.
The MMRDA is also looking at similar projects for other places, like the Bharat Diamond Bourse.
MMRDA approved a foot overbridge connecting Metro Line 4 to Godrej Campus in Vikhroli.
The bridge aims to improve last-mile connectivity and pedestrian safety.
Godrej & Boyce paid a ₹10 crore development fee and will cover construction costs.
Similar projects include the Oberoi Mall on Metro Line 7.
MMRDA is evaluating more proposals, such as the Bharat Diamond Bourse on Metro Line 2B.
