MP seeks Russian collaboration for Vizag metro projects
A leader from Visakhapatnam in India talked to experts in Russia about building better public transport systems.
He wants to make Visakhapatnam a modern city with less traffic and better ways to travel.
He asked for help from Russian transport experts to build a metro and a special electric train system.

MP M Sribharat presented Visakhapatnam's vision for a world-class public transportation system at the 5th International Transport Summit in Moscow.
He highlighted the need for modern, efficient, and sustainable public transport to support Visakhapatnam's rapid growth.
The proposed projects include the Visakhapatnam Metro Rail Project and the Electric Rapid Transit (ERT) project along the existing BRTS corridor.
Sribharat sought technical cooperation from the Moscow Transport Federation and Russian metro agencies for planning, implementation, and technology transfer.
The session was attended by transport experts, metro agencies, urban planners, and policymakers from several countries.
