IIT Madras to Gain ₹112 Crore from Indo-MIM IPO

IIT Madras is going to make a lot of money, around ₹112 crore, by selling half of its shares in a company called Indo-MIM.

This company makes very precise parts using special technology.

They are doing this through something called an IPO, which is like a big sale of shares to the public.

Indo-MIM is also raising a lot of money, ₹3,812 crore, to pay off debts and grow their business.

They have factories all over the world and make parts for cars, planes, and medical equipment.

IIT Madras got these shares as a gift from the company's founder, who is an alumnus.

The IPO starts on Thursday, and people can buy shares for between ₹461 and ₹485 each.
