TCPL Expands Frozen Foods Amid Quick Commerce Growth
Tata Consumer Products, a big Indian food company, is starting to sell frozen foods in the capital area.
They want to bring the same products to Mumbai next.
The company says that new fast‑delivery services have built better cold‑storage systems, so frozen foods can be sold more easily.
They also plan to make more healthy snacks and special flours.
The company’s new product lines grew a lot last quarter and are now a big part of its business.
TCPL launches frozen foods in the National Capital Region and plans a Mumbai rollout.
CEO Sunil D’Souza says quick commerce has built the cold‑chain needed for frozen foods.
Frozen foods are expected to grow about 30% annually over the next 2–3 years.
TCPL is also expanding into specialty flours, protein snacks, and functional foods.
Growth businesses grew 47% in the June quarter and now make up 36% of the company’s India sales.
