SAD Demands Probe Into Atishi Remark Controversy
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is very upset and has asked for an independent investigation.
They say that the Punjab police and the chief minister are trying to protect Atishi Marlena, who is accused of saying bad things about Sikh Gurus.
The SAD claims that the police got a fake report to say that a video of Atishi's remarks was edited, but the Delhi Speaker says the video is real.
Atishi denies the allegations and says she respects the Sikh Gurus.
The Delhi Assembly Speaker also said it's not okay for another state's government to interfere in their proceedings.
The SAD also thinks it's wrong that the government is checking sacred copies of the Guru Granth Sahib in a religious place while protecting Atishi and shaking hands with gangsters.
SAD demands an independent probe into alleged derogatory remarks by Atishi Marlena against Sikh Gurus.
Accuses Punjab police and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of conspiring to protect Atishi by securing a false FSL report.
Delhi Speaker presents a report confirming the video of Atishi's remarks is genuine and not tampered with.
SAD questions the jurisdiction of Punjab police in a matter that occurred in Delhi and criticizes the government for overreaching authority in checking sacred copies of Guru Granth Sahib.
Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta finds the intervention of another state's government in House proceedings unacceptable and warns of a firm response.
