Rajasthan Assembly monsoon session opens amid Opposition boycott
The Rajasthan Assembly began its monsoon meeting on Thursday.
Opposition Congress members did not sit inside the House.
They protested outside because the main entrance, gate No.
6, was closed.
The government said the gate was shut for security reasons.
Officials asked the protesting members to enter one at a time through another passage.
The Congress members wanted to enter together, so they held a dharna instead.
Inside, lawmakers introduced two Bills and remembered seven former public figures who had died.
The Speaker then ended the meeting for the day.
