US Releases Drone Footage Alleging Hamas Looting of Gaza Aid Truck
The American military released a video from a drone that they say shows people they believe are from Hamas taking supplies from a truck meant to help people in Gaza.
This happened on October 31st near a town called Khan Younis.
The drone was watching the area to make sure aid was getting to people safely after a temporary stop in fighting.
The military says the people attacked the truck driver and stole the truck and all its supplies.
They also said this makes it harder to get important help to Gaza.
Hundreds of aid trucks are said to be entering Gaza every day, but things like this make the process difficult.
Hamas has denied doing this, saying they can't communicate with their members in certain areas.
A US official also spoke out against the looting, saying Hamas is preventing civilians from getting the aid they need.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) released drone footage alleging suspected Hamas operatives looted an aid truck in southern Gaza.
The incident, observed by the U.S.-led Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) on October 31, involved operatives allegedly attacking the driver and stealing the truck and its cargo near northern Khan Younis.
The drone footage was captured by an American MQ-9 surveillance drone monitoring the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
CENTCOM stated the incident undermines efforts to deliver humanitarian aid, noting over 600 trucks of aid and commercial goods have been entering Gaza daily.
Hamas has denied responsibility, citing communication issues with operatives in Israeli-controlled zones.
