Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Leaving White House End of August

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Leaving White House End of August

Karoline Leavitt is the person whose job was to answer questions from reporters for the president of the United States.

Her job is called White House press secretary, and she is the youngest person ever to have it.

She is 28 years old and has two little children.

Leavitt says she will leave this job at the end of August so she can spend more time with her kids.

President Donald Trump says he still likes her work and that she will keep helping him from outside the White House.

Sometimes people got upset about things Leavitt said while doing her job.

She repeated a claim that $50 million was being spent on condoms in Gaza, but fact-checkers said there was no proof for that.

She also said young people like her, called Gen Z, were a little lazy, which made many young people angry.

Leavitt later said people misunderstood her and that she thinks many young Americans work hard.

Nobody knows yet who will take over her job next.
