Punjab Farmers Protest India-US Trade Deal
Farmers in Punjab are protesting against a proposed trade agreement between India and the US.
They are worried that this deal could lead to lower prices for their crops because of cheaper American products.
The BJP, which is the ruling party, says that no final agreement has been made and that farmers' interests will be protected.
However, the farmers and opposition parties like Congress, AAP, and SAD are not convinced.
They want the details of the agreement to be made public so everyone can see what it says.
This protest is happening just before the state elections, which makes it a big political issue.
The BJP had hoped to focus on development and governance, but now they have to deal with farmers' concerns again.
Farmers in Punjab are protesting against the proposed India-US trade agreement.
They fear the deal could lower import duties, allowing subsidized American products to enter the Indian market.
The BJP assures that no final agreement has been signed and farmers' interests will be protected.
Opposition parties demand transparency and the public release of the draft agreement.
The protests could impact the BJP's political strategy ahead of the Assembly elections.
