MNF Files Complaint Against Mizoram CM Over Poll Code Violation
Imagine it's like a game with rules.
In Mizoram, there's a special set of rules called the model code of conduct for the Dampa bypolls.
The main opposition party, MNF, thinks the Chief Minister, Lalduhoma, broke these rules.
They said he promised a big water project and turmeric machines during a campaign.
They also accused another person, Dr. Lorrain, of running a free medical camp after the rules started.
Now, the Election Commission is checking to see if the rules were broken.
People will vote on November 11 to choose a new leader, with the votes being counted on November 14.
MNF filed a complaint against Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma for violating the model code of conduct.
The complaint also targets ZPM MLA Dr. Lorrain Lalpekliana Chinzah.
The MNF alleged Lalduhoma announced a water project and promised items during a campaign.
Dr. Lorrain is accused of conducting a free medical camp after the code of conduct came into effect.
The bypoll for the Dampa seat will be held on November 11.
