Calcutta University Allows Home Exams for Pass Papers
Calcutta University has decided that students can now take their pass paper exams at their own colleges instead of traveling to other colleges.
This means their own teachers will also evaluate their answer scripts.
The university will send teams to make sure everything is fair and transparent.
This change was made to help students and teachers by making the exam process faster and not taking up too many teaching days.
Calcutta University will allow affiliated colleges to conduct pass paper exams on their own campuses.
Students' own teachers will evaluate their answer scripts, replacing the previous system of external evaluation.
The university's controller of examinations office will supervise the exams and evaluations to ensure transparency.
The decision aims to reduce the semester's extended duration and preserve teaching days.
This change was approved at a syndicate meeting and announced by registrar Debasish Das.
