War Heroes Added to School Syllabus: Sam Manekshaw, Others
School books will now include stories about brave Indian war heroes!
There will be chapters about Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, who was a great leader.
Also, stories about Brigadier Mohammad Usman, known as the 'Lion of Naushera,' and Major Somnath Sharma, India's first Param Vir Chakra awardee, will be included.
These stories aim to teach kids about courage and duty.
NCERT to include chapters on war heroes Sam Manekshaw, Mohammad Usman, and Somnath Sharma.
The chapters will be in the syllabus for Class 8 (Urdu & English) and Class 7 (Urdu).
The Ministry of Defence announced the inclusion for the 2025-26 academic year.
The goal is to inspire students with narratives of courage and duty.
The heroes displayed exceptional bravery in battle.
