Central Committee Reviews Demographic Change in Jammu and Kashmir

A new group of four important people from the Indian government went to a place in India called Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir is a region near the country's border.

This group is called the Committee on Demographic Change.

It wants to learn how many people live there and whether the population numbers are changing in an unusual way.

Some officials are worried that families from other countries, such as Rohingya people and people from Bangladesh, may be living there without official permission.

The group will talk to leaders, police officers, and other important people in the area.

The leader of the group is a retired judge named Justice Prakash Prabhakar Navlekar.

They will stay for three days and visit border areas where the problem has been reported.

This visit is part of a bigger plan started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to deal with people entering border regions without permission.
