Govt. Modernizes Akashvani and Doordarshan Across India
The government is updating its radio and TV stations across India, like Akashvani and Doordarshan, using a plan called BIND.
This plan is spending over 2500 crore rupees to make things better.
They're improving the equipment, making things digital, and using new technology.
The goal is to provide better quality broadcasting and reach more people.
They are also trying to add more channels in South Indian languages.

Projects include digitalization, equipment upgrades, and new technology implementation.
DD Free Dish, a free-to-air DTH platform, reaches approximately 49 million households nationwide as of 2024.
