AI in Xiaomi Car Confuses Man's Eyes for Sleepiness
A man in China had a funny problem with his car's AI.
The car kept telling him he was sleepy because his eyes are naturally small.
The car's system, which watches drivers to check for tiredness, got confused and thought he was falling asleep even though he was awake.
His sister, who has different eyes, did not have the same issue in the same car.
It's like the car needed an update to understand different people's faces!
The car company said this system is supposed to keep drivers safe, but they can turn it off.
A Chinese man's car repeatedly issued drowsiness warnings due to his naturally small eyes.
The AI system in his Xiaomi SU7 Max misinterpreted his appearance, leading to false alerts.
The man shared the issue with the system in sunlight while driving.
His sister did not experience the same problem when driving the same car.
Xiaomi's customer service confirmed the system is designed for driver safety and can be disabled, though not recommended.
