Lokayukta Catches Power Lineman Taking ₹5,000 Bribe in Gwalior

Lokayukta Catches Power Lineman Taking ₹5,000 Bribe in Gwalior

A man named Shriram Bairagi wanted electricity for his flour mill.

He needed the power to run the mill's motor.

Even after waiting a long time, he did not get the connection.

When he asked the electricity office, a worker named Baburam Patel asked for a bribe of ₹10,000.

A bribe is money given to make someone do their job, which is against the rules.

Bairagi told the Lokayukta, a special police team that catches dishonest officials.

The Lokayukta set a trap and gave Bairagi ₹5,000 to hand over as the first part of the bribe.

When the worker took the money, the police caught him right away.

A special test made his hands turn pink, proving he had touched the money.

Now he is in custody while legal procedures continue.
