CBI Intensifies Cybercrime Crackdown, Targets Mule Bank Accounts

The CBI is cracking down on cybercriminals who use fake bank accounts, called "mule accounts", to steal money.

These accounts are opened without proper verification.

The CBI raided 42 locations across five states and found over 8 lakh suspicious accounts.

Cybercriminals use these to collect money from scams like fake arrests, impersonation, and investment schemes.

The CBI thinks some bank officials might have helped criminals open these accounts.

They have arrested nine people and are gathering evidence to stop the fraud.
