Sam Heughan Joins Embassy with Anna Kendrick

Sam Heughan, known for his role in 'Outlander', is joining the cast of a new action thriller series called 'Embassy'.

He will play a British soldier named Connor Wright.

The series also stars Anna Kendrick as a smart American diplomat and J.K. Simmons as the U.S. Ambassador.

The story is about a dangerous situation at the U.S. Embassy in London, where armed mercenaries attack.

Anna Kendrick's character has to make a tough choice between protecting the Ambassador or following orders to rescue a important person.

She gets help from her ex-fiancé, played by Sam Heughan.

The series is being produced by several companies and will be filmed in London and Cologne.

It's a six-part series, and two episodes will be directed by Christian Alvart, while the rest will be directed by John Strickland.

The show doesn't have a broadcaster or streamer yet, but AGC Television is financing and distributing it internationally.
