Second Doctor Sentenced in Matthew Perry Overdose Case
A doctor named Dr. Mark Chavez was sentenced to eight months of home confinement for giving ketamine to another doctor, who then gave it to the actor Matthew Perry.
Matthew Perry, known for his role in the TV show 'Friends,' died in a hot tub in 2023 because of a ketamine overdose.
Ketamine is a strong drug used for anesthesia and sometimes for depression, but it can be dangerous if misused.
Dr. Chavez admitted to selling the drug, but he didn't give the dose that killed Perry.
Another doctor, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, and three other people are also involved in the case.
They will be sentenced soon.
