SAI's NCSSR Launches Ethics Committee for Sports Research
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has created a special group called the Institutional Ethical Committee (IEC) to make sure that sports science research is done the right way.
This committee will look at all research projects to ensure they follow ethical rules, protect the athletes, and keep the research honest.
Experts will review studies, focusing on things like getting permission, protecting data, and the long-term effects of the research on athletes.
This group will help ensure research is conducted with care and responsibility.
SAI's NCSSR launched its Institutional Ethical Committee (IEC) on July 18th.
The IEC aims to standardize ethical protocols for sports science research.
Prof. Jugal Kishore, a former head, chaired the inaugural meeting.
