Rishikesh protest demands action against alleged 'Ranga-Billa' extortion

Rishikesh protest demands action against alleged 'Ranga-Billa' extortion

Some people in a city called Rishikesh were very upset.

They say two people, known together as 'Ranga-Billa', were scaring builders and taking their money.

This is called extortion, and it is against the law.

The people made posters with computer-made pictures of the two people and put them all over the city.

Many people gathered at the police station on Sunday to complain.

They said they wrote complaints to the police, but the police did not start an official case.

The protest was led by a man named Jagjit Singh, who is also called Jagga.

The protesters want the police to investigate fairly, register a case, and arrest the two men.

They also said Jagga got in trouble with the police for speaking out, while the accused duo faced no action.

A police officer said the police are looking into the complaints fairly and will take action if anyone is found guilty.
