Aadhaar Updates: QR Code Verification App Launching Soon
Your Aadhaar card, which is like your digital ID, will be getting a big upgrade!
Soon, you won't need to carry around paper copies of your Aadhaar.
Instead, you'll use a QR code on a new app.
Starting in November, you can update your Aadhaar details online, and you’ll only need to visit centers for fingerprints and eye scans.
UIDAI will use information from government records like birth certificates to make updates easier.
The system aims to make things faster and more secure.
UIDAI is launching a new QR code-enabled e-Aadhaar system.
Physical Aadhaar copies will no longer be required for verification.
Most personal information can be updated online via a new app.
The system is expected to be implemented nationwide by the end of 2025.
Biometric verification will still require visits to enrollment centers.
