Notorious Maoist Commander Madvi Hidma Killed in Andhra Pradesh Operation
A high-level intelligence operation in Andhra Pradesh resulted in the death of Madvi Hidma, a notorious Maoist leader.
Hidma was known for leading many attacks against security forces and civilians.
The operation was launched after intelligence suggested that senior Maoist leaders were planning to revive their movement in the area.
Hidma's wife and four guards were also killed, and weapons were recovered from the site.
Madvi Hidma, a notorious Maoist leader, was killed in an operation led by Andhra Pradesh's ADG Intelligence Mahesh Chandra Ladha.
The encounter took place in the Maredumilli forest, near the tri-junction of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
Hidma was responsible for at least 26 armed attacks against security forces and civilians, including the 2010 Dantewada and 2017 Sukma attacks.
His wife Raje and four armed guards were also killed in the operation. Weapons and equipment were recovered from the site.
