Complaint Filed Against AICF for Alleged Financial Mismanagement

Some chess officials are worried about how the All India Chess Federation (AICF) is using its money.

One former official, Atanu Lahiri, complained that the AICF gave money to state chess groups without good reasons, breaking some rules.

They also paid Grandmaster Barua, which might have also broken the rules.

Lahiri wants an investigation to see if money was misused, possibly get the money back, and maybe even shut down the AICF if things are really bad.

There are also concerns about the AICF not holding meetings and having their financial reports ready on time, suggesting disagreements among the leaders.
