Karnataka Upa Lokayukta Sets 15-Day Plan Deadline for Guddehalli

Guddehalli is a village in Karwar where about 28 Halakki families live.

The village does not have a proper road, so people use rough paths through the forest.

Cars and ambulances cannot reach the village easily.

Families sometimes carry sick people on makeshift stretchers to get help.

Children walk more than eight kilometres to get to school.

Karnataka Upa Lokayukta Justice K.N. Phaneendra visited and listened to residents.

He gave officials 15 days to prepare a plan to improve the village.

He also asked officials to arrange transport for students and monthly health check-ups for residents.
