Tewolde Gebremariam Cleared to Lead Air India Next

Tewolde Gebremariam is about to become the new leader of Air India.

He has received the security clearance needed for the job.

He is expected to officially start on Thursday.

He will replace Campbell Wilson.

Gebremariam previously led Ethiopian Airlines Group for more than a decade.

He wants Air India to control costs, improve safety and make flights more reliable.

He also wants to reward workers who find ways to save money and work better.

Air India says it will focus on better punctuality, improved cabins, hospitality and worldwide connections.
