Election Commission Orders Karnataka Voter Enrolment Drive After SIR

The Election Commission has ordered a special voter-enrolment drive in Karnataka.

It will last for about one month.

Officials will compare old voter lists with current lists.

They will look for people whose names were previously included but are now missing.

Booth officers will visit homes to check whether these people still live there and are eligible to vote.

They will help eligible people fill out Form 6 to apply for enrolment.

Lists of missing voters will also be shared with political-party representatives.

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar asked Congress workers and elected representatives to watch the process closely.
