Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District Plans DJ-Free, Safe, Eco-Friendly Ganeshotsav

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District Plans DJ-Free, Safe, Eco-Friendly Ganeshotsav

Officials in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar are preparing for this year’s Ganeshotsav.

They want the festival to be safe, quiet and better for the environment.

District Collector Vinay Gowda asked Ganesh mandals not to use DJs.

Instead, the mandals are encouraged to use traditional musical instruments.

Officials will work with the police, local bodies and citizens to plan the celebrations.

They will also help manage traffic, parking, security and idol immersions.

Special arrangements will be made at the Kaygaon-Toka immersion site because many devotees are expected.

Prizes will be given to mandals that organise especially good celebrations.
