Etah Officials Raid Firecracker Warehouse Over Alleged Safety Violations

Officials checked a firecracker warehouse in Etah, Uttar Pradesh.

The warehouse was allowed to store up to 500 kilograms of explosive material.

They suspected it may have had more than that amount.

Officials are weighing the fireworks to find out how much was actually there.

They have also started the process of sealing the warehouse.

Inspectors found LPG cylinders, cattle and hay on the property.

The inspection happened after a deadly explosion at an illegal firecracker factory in Kaushambi.

That explosion was first reported to have killed 11 people, including eight children, but the death toll later rose to 14.
