PMK Leadership Feud: Ramadoss Elected President
There is a big fight happening inside the PMK party in Tamil Nadu.
The founder, Dr. S. Ramadoss, was elected as the party president at a meeting on Monday.
His son, Anbumani Ramadoss, is not happy about this and says the meeting was not fair.
Dr. Ramadoss said that most of the party members support him and not his son.
The party also gave important roles to Dr. Ramadoss's daughter, Sreegandhi Parasuraman, and G.K. Mani.
Everyone is waiting to see what the party will do for the next big elections in 2026.
Dr. S. Ramadoss was unanimously elected as PMK president at a general council meeting on Monday.
The meeting authorized Ramadoss to decide on alliances for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Sreegandhi Parasuraman, Ramadoss's daughter, was elected as working president, replacing her brother Anbumani.
Anbumani's faction dubbed the meeting a 'farce' and claimed Ramadoss's faction cannot remove Sowmiya from her post.
Ramadoss asserted that his son has less than 5% support within the party.
