Punjab CM Slams Haryana for Stopping Farmers

Farmers from Punjab were stopped by the Haryana Police at the Shambhu border while they were on their way to Delhi to protest against the proposed India-US trade deal.

The Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, criticized the Haryana government and the Central Government for stopping the farmers and said that they should be allowed to protest peacefully.

He also suggested that the government should hold talks with the farmers to resolve their grievances.

The Haryana Police had erected barricades and placed cement blocks at the entry point to Punjab, and prohibitory orders were issued in Ambala district.

The protest was organized under the banner of 'Desh Bachao Morcha'.
