Musi Project Lifts Gates to Manage Water Release
Heavy rain filled up a reservoir called the Musi Project.
To prevent the water from overflowing, officials opened two gates.
They lifted the gates a little bit to let some water out, about 1,300 units of water.
The water level in the reservoir is being monitored, with around 1,700 units of water flowing in.
Officials are carefully managing how much water leaves, ensuring the reservoir doesn't get too full or too empty.
They're using canals and the opened gates to control the water flow, keeping the reservoir balanced.
Two crest gates of the Musi Project were lifted due to heavy rainfall.
The gates were lifted by one foot to release 1,300 cusecs of water.
The water level reached 643.45 feet, below the full tank level of 646 feet.
Inflow to the project is around 1,700 cusecs.
Officials are adjusting water release based on inflow to maintain reservoir levels.
