India Advances Defense: Hypersonic K-6 and Agni-5 Missile Upgrades
India is working on new missiles.
One is the K-6, a super-fast missile for submarines, traveling at incredible speeds.
It can carry different types of warheads and hit many targets.
India is also upgrading the Agni-5 to become a bunker-buster missile, to destroy targets hidden deep underground, like command centers.
This upgrade is inspired by other countries' similar weapons.
This new missile will also travel at hypersonic speeds, and be able to go deeper into the earth.
India is developing the K-6 hypersonic missile for its new nuclear submarines.
The K-6 will travel at Mach 7.5 (9,200 km/h) and have a range of approximately 8,000 km.
It is designed to carry nuclear or conventional warheads.
The missile can carry multiple warheads, hitting several targets at once.
India's modified Agni-5 missile is designed to penetrate up to 100 meters underground.
