AMNS India targets 25 mtpa capacity by 2030
AMNS India, a big steel company, wants to make a lot more steel by 2030.
They plan to increase their ability to make steel to 25-26 million tonnes every year.
Right now, they make about 9 million tonnes.
They are expanding their factories in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh and will spend a lot of money to do this.
They also want to use more renewable energy and make sure they have enough raw materials.
But making steel is getting more expensive, and the company is asking for lower prices on iron ore to help them make more money.
The government is trying to help, but some states and miners are not agreeing with the changes.
AMNS India aims to reach 25-26 million tonnes of steelmaking capacity by 2030.
The company will expand its Hazira plant to 15 mtpa by 2025 and 18 mtpa thereafter.
An 8.2 mtpa greenfield plant is being built in Rajayyapeta, Andhra Pradesh.
Investments of ₹55,000-60,000 crore are planned between 2025-26 and 2027-28.
The company is focusing on flat steel and aims to have 7 GW of green power by 2032.
