SGATP Saves Rs 110 Crore Annually After Government Takeover

The Shri Guru Amardas Thermal Power Plant (SGATP) in Goindwal Sahib, now owned by the government, is saving money.

Before, the plant spent more to make electricity.

Now, it costs less because of changes after the government took over in February 2024.

The plant uses better coal, and it is working better, making more electricity.

The government bought the plant to improve how it works.

It's now producing more power at a lower cost.
