J-K Speaker Orders New Car Policy Within 15 Days

The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly is waiting for a new rule about government cars.

Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather told the administration to finish and announce the rule within 15 days.

The rule is called the “One Officer One Car Policy.”

Transport Minister Satish Sharma presented an update about the policy.

The Speaker said the delay had lasted nearly five years.

He was concerned that some officers might use more government cars than the rules allow.

He also said officers should still receive the cars and facilities they are properly entitled to.

The transport department will consult other departments before completing the policy.
