KTR Appears in Court Over Formula E Funds Case
K. T. Rama Rao, a political leader, went to a special court in Hyderabad to talk about a big money problem.
The court said that about 55 crore rupees were spent on a car race called Formula E, but the money was taken from a government fund without proper paperwork.
Three people, including KTR, were accused.
They gave a small amount of money as a guarantee.
The court will meet again on August 25 to decide what happens next.
K. T. Rama Rao appeared before the Nampally Special ACB Court on Friday.
The court adjourned the next hearing to 25 August 2024.
Accused include IAS officer Arvind Kumar and former HMDA chief engineer B.L.N. Reddy.
Allegations claim about ₹55 crore was spent from HMDA funds on Formula E race without proper records or approvals.
KTR and co-accused submitted a surety of ₹1 lakh each.
