Gandhari Review: A Mother’s Fight Lost in Smoke and Mirrors

Gandhari Review: A Mother’s Fight Lost in Smoke and Mirrors

Gandhari is a movie about a mother named Bani whose child is kidnapped.

She hurts herself while chasing the kidnapper and loses her eyesight.

Even so, she tries to find her child and fight the people responsible.

The story takes place in a fictional town where children are being trafficked.

The town’s police are unable to stop the criminals.

The movie uses masked performers and a monster-like figure called Magrasur to create mystery.

The review says the movie has interesting ideas but does not develop them well.

It praises Taapsee Pannu’s acting and some of the other performers.

However, it says the plot is confusing, the big twist is easy to guess and the film stereotypes Bengali culture.
