Johnson Calls for India, US, UK Diplomacy on Iran
Boris Johnson says India, the United States, and the United Kingdom should work together to reduce tensions involving Iran.
He wants the countries to create a diplomatic plan for ending the crisis.
He also wants them to protect important sea trade routes and keep energy prices from becoming unstable.
Johnson believes major political change in Iran should come from people inside Iran.
At the same time, he says Iran should not be allowed to build nuclear weapons or support regional proxy groups.
He thinks the current American approach has reached a deadlock.
Johnson also spoke about the war in Ukraine.
He said Russia is not guaranteed to win and that India could help persuade Russia to end the conflict.
Boris Johnson urged India, the United States, and the United Kingdom to coordinate a diplomatic exit strategy for the Iran crisis.
He said the initiative should help stabilize energy markets and protect vital maritime trade routes around the Strait of Hormuz.
Johnson argued that lasting political change in Tehran must come from within, while opposing an Iranian nuclear weapon capability and proxy financing.
He called for continuous high-level consultations, alternative trade corridors, and a structured diplomatic settlement with Tehran.
On Ukraine, Johnson rejected claims of an inevitable Russian victory and said India should help increase diplomatic pressure on Russia.
