J&K Lieutenant Governor Urges Shift to Quaternary Healthcare

Manoj Sinha said hospitals should offer a very advanced level of care called quaternary healthcare.

This care can help people with rare or very complicated illnesses.

He said it should not be available only to rich people or those living in big cities.

Hospitals should develop skills such as organ transplants, robotic surgery and advanced genetic testing.

They should also use artificial intelligence to help doctors diagnose patients.

Sinha suggested connecting smaller district hospitals with advanced medical centres using telemedicine.

He also wants more training for specialists and more research into new treatments.

His goal is to make advanced healthcare available to both rural families and city residents.
